Periodontology

Periodontology deals with the gums and the supporting tissues of the teeth. In short: it is not enough for a tooth to look good — it also has to remain stable.

At our office, we diagnose gum conditions (bleeding, recession, bad breath, tooth mobility), remove tartar and soft deposits, perform deep cleaning of the pockets around the teeth (curettage), and create a maintenance plan.

Why is this important? Periodontal disease is a common cause of tooth loss in adults, even when the tooth itself has no decay. Untreated gum inflammation also affects overall health. That is why hygiene and sterility in our office are not an “extra,” but a standard.

Patients receive a personalized home-care protocol — brushes, interdental care, and brushing technique. The role of periodontology is to stabilize the condition in the long term and preserve your natural teeth for as long as possible, not to react only when the problem becomes urgent.
